I have only ever used bronzer but after watching Kirstie tonight I've decided I want rosy cheeks too!
I have dry skin do would I need cream blusher?
I don't want to spend more than a tenner really.
I was using 'Dallas' by Benefit. I have brown hair, bluey/grey/greeny eyes with a pale yellow skin tone. I sound super hot don't I?

Ideas please, I'd be very grateful

I have similar colouring to you (though darker yellowy skin Grin) and love Nars blushers. I have one that looks really bright pink but a tiny fluff with a big brush just on the apples of my cheeks brightens my whole face up. The Nars Orgasm shade is highly rated too. Have a look at space NK for colours and then on eBay. If you're after a bronzer their Laguna is brilliant for yellow toned skin.

Thank you, Nars... I guess boots, SuperDrug or debenhams don't sell that.
Annoying! Darn being so rural! I will have a gander in boots and er hope for the best.
I hate makeup shopping Sad

MAC do lovely blushers
there's a gorgeous cream one called 'ladyblush' or summat rude sounding like that ...it's very flattering and stays put

saying that I really like superdrugs 2true liquid blush , exactly like benefits benetint. Lasts forever and looks very natural.

VerityBrulee · 22/12/2011 09:28

I love cream blush, one of my favourite is from Boots! It's by Une, comes in a few shades, has a lovely glow. Another good budget one is Barbara Daly for Tesco.

I have similar colours to you (v dark brown hair, pale skin, grey eyes) and i LOVE maybelline mousse blusher in peach, it's brilliant! I have tried all sorts of expensive ones and this is definitely the winner. It's really creamy and easy to apply and it's an instant face freshener, even brightens me up when I've got a hangover or have only had a few hours sleep! And it's sold everywhere, boots, superdrug, supermarkets etc.

LesserOfTwoWeevils · 22/12/2011 10:59

What nuit said. Maybelline Peach Satin is great stuff, it really does brighten your whole face.

Sparkletastic · 22/12/2011 11:03

Benetint is good for rosy cheeks effect. If you struggle to get posho make up though Bourgeois blushers are fab - Rose Jaspe is a lovely pink with a subtle gold shimmer.

Fregley · 22/12/2011 11:09

CREAM

mac or Bobbi brown
BB much more effective when applied with brush ( just buy an art one)

Pinot · 22/12/2011 11:14

A kabuki brush is best for Bobbi Brown cream blush

ggirl · 22/12/2011 11:18

really cream blush with a brush you say??

Pinot · 22/12/2011 11:19

blimes yeah - stipple it on and it lasts ages and looks really sheer and pretty. Any firm kabuki-esque brush does the trick. Tis ace.

ggirl · 22/12/2011 11:19

my face is currently glowing with bare minerals as recc'd by cybbo

'Capture the sweet essence of a dewy rose basking in sunlight with Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Rose Radiance' .....that's me !!

ggirl · 22/12/2011 11:21

will try the cream with brush next time I'm applying my face
jeez i could play with makeup all day
i want to be buried in the JL beauty hall

Pinot · 22/12/2011 11:24

me too ggirl, me too

I want to try that rose radiance cyb said about - has it got bismuth in though? I had to swap to LilyLolo as had reaction to BE.

Also saw on QVC BE do a 2-part pot called Facelift - looked amazing on the model. Dark shade to conceal then light shade to enhance. LOVE.

NoaBos · 22/12/2011 11:44

I agree with ggirl - I have dark skin based on a yellow tone rather than pink (so it was explained to me ages ago), and MAC blushers are the only ones that don't look weird on my skin tone (same goes for their foundations and concealers as well - amazing foundations)...just a shame it's so expensive though :(

ggirl · 22/12/2011 13:21

pinot-yes it does have bismuth in it unfortunately. Shame as it's a very versatile product , can be mixed with vaseline to make lipgloss .

Pinot · 22/12/2011 16:11

pants

thanks for checking

scarlet76 · 22/12/2011 16:33

I use the Bourjois little round blusher pots. They do lots of lovely shades and keep me looking peachy
