Do sheepskin gilets squish down? And where from?

I am so hankering after a sheepskin gilet (for reasons of warmth and lightness rather than fashwan neccessarily), but the ones I've tried on have all made me look rather Michelin. I know sheepskin boots tamp down, but does the same apply to gilets and coats? Where would people recommend? I've seen plenty of women looking fabulous wearing one, but can't seem to find anything I really like? Thank-you, P

I have one from Zara and it has flattened slightly but not that much tbh. Not like my sheepskin shoe liners for example, but then again my gilet doesn't have anyone treading on it every day.

I have one from Brora. It hasn't flattened down much, just a bit on the shoulder where my bag sits.

Thanks Ladies. I've tried a Brora one on and it is currently my hot favourite, but it flaps out a bit over the tummy because there's no fastener there, which is why I wondered whether it would mould itself more to the body over time. Good point re: not walking on it though! Maybe I should just sit on it a bit...

Saw the Zara one on a girl on a tram stop here in Rome the other day and the cut was awkward. She was very thin and willowy but somehow the hilet looked bulky and strange on her. Also, the color is tricly, washed her out a bit.

Sorry gilet not hilet

I'm a big fan of the Joseph ones, but they are c£700. V nice though, and may well be in the sale...

Eep! £700 squid! Too rich for my blood (although my blood yearns...).
