Isabella Oliver 365 Classic Wrap dress

Anyone here has this who is about my size? I am 16 bottom, 14 top, 5 ft 10. Alright legs (in tights), small chest and generally non-bulky top half, OK arms, arse like a bus.

I like the look of this dress; keep reading that wrap dresses are oh so flattering and it is down to 69 quid at the mo. Is it worth the money and am I going to look a minger in it? (Before I waste dosh on delivery). Ta

And which size should I go for?

I noticed you had no replies and as I'd read the thread earlier I thought I'd try and give you a bump.

I'm a 10/12 - the 10 being on top (post baby depleted boobs) and the 12 being the bum/hips. I bought the 12 (D - I think) as that is my usual default size, but had to return and get a C (10). The top is more important fit-wise I think as the bottom is fairly voluminous.
I'm still going to have to wear tummy flatteners but have been saving it for Xmas as it's my fave dress. Nice neckline as slightly higher/closer to the neck than most (some reviewers don't like it though).

It's an expensive dress as you have to pay for delivery and returns (if you don't like) but I love mine with it's long ties.

My last piece of amazing advice was returned as someone looked like a sack of spuds in their coat though [guilty emoticon].

they come up big

fruitscone · 21/12/2011 20:52

went offline so just came back to computer now. Thanks for that advice. I am still swithering about the size because I am just a bigger girl than you morag and I don't know if I could get away with it being snug round the bum but also don't want it to be big shouldered. Thank you both. I will go and ponder some more (like I did last time it was reduced and I missed the boat that time.) I just keep coming back to this dress and feel it needs to be mine!

Buy both sizes then, and you'll only be losing £2.66 IME if you send one back. If you like it so much it's at least worth trying on to find out and then you know for sure.

buy the smaller size, they are generous

Liveinthepresent · 22/12/2011 00:19

Very generous sizes. I am a pear - find top halves of IO dresses often too big if they fit on the bum. But I have had a few great buys so definitely worth a try while on sale. Size down.

you are right. Will try. Thanks everyone else for your advice.
