Broken up with my hairdresser and need recommendations for a curly hair wizard in London

Thread title says it all really. I've been seeing the same woman for the last five year, and put up with her brusqueness/rudeness because she actually did a good job on my curls. But yesterday it all came to an end. I stomped out of the salon and now can't/won't go back.

Can anyone recommend someone in (centralish) London who is good with type 2A/2B curls, won't fill my hair with mousse, and understands that 'it springs up when dry" actually means that it will?

I've been going to Idol Hair, in Victoria Park (Hackney) - Greta is fab with curls. It's a lovely little salon, they are all very sweet and friendly. It's not terribly cheap but I think it's worth it. She gives my hair the best cut I've ever had. PM me if you need more details

She's in Golders Green i think, or Hendon, some part of NW; but I like her prices and I like her work. However, she has been known to be just a teeny tiny bit clumsy on a very small occasion. I think she's okay to use, but I have friends who feel that is a deal breaker.

Pierpoint on Archer Street in Soho. Lovely salon- quiet, friendly and no BS. The owner is good with curly hair. I think he's called Dan.

If you're still looking Natalie, at the House of Charles Worthington in Covent Garden, is excellent. She persuaded me to go back curly after years of straightening, and now I love my hair.

Plus I really don't think that they are any more expensive than most London salons. I certainly know people who have been to Toni & Guy and paid more than I usually do.

No recommendations but I love the phrase 'broken up' in this context. I ended a long term hairdressing relationship a few months back. It had just got stale and boring and the last straw was when she was two timing me and finishing off somebody else's hair whilst starting mine. I expect exclusive attention! Then I rebounded into somebody else's arms - v flash layout but very dull hair. So now I'm booked for somewhere else on Friday........will be telling them I'm looking for something funky and exciting but also long term and stable and no they can't change me my parting.

Well, fluffy, it was this. I turn up at the (glass) door. It's locked. She sees me and ignores me until I press the buzzer. I come in but she doesn't say hello, but stands there with hands on hips and a grim look on her face. I ask if she can fit me in, start telling her what a rubbish day I've had. She says "I'll have to stay late, I'll have to stay late" (about ten mins by my calculations) over and over again. No smile, no welcome, no recognition that over the years my husband and I must have spent 1000s on haircuts with her and could have spent even more over the future, and maybe she could stay "late" just this once.

Being 36 weeks preggers and on a short fuse already, I decided I'd had enough of this sort of treatment over the last few years, put my coat back on, shout "Fine" in her general direction several times and stomp out while she's yelling after me :"What's all this about then?". I like to think I maintained some modicum of dignity by not slamming the door.

If you're close to Victoria Park, I'd recommend Greta at Idol Hair too. Don't live nearby anymore and miss her cuts so much!

Chloe at John Frieda in Mayfair is brilliant. She has worked with my unruly curls for about 10 years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else! It is the Alford Street branch. Not cheap at all but worth every penny!
