Eye make up which will not annoy my eyes

Please recommend eye shadow and mascara. The Bobbi Brown and No7 I have make my eyes itchy and after a few hours- bloodshot.

You are probably allergic to a dye, preservative or similar. I get itchy and red eyes from Maybelline, Clinique and Dior and many others. Brown eyeliners are especially toxic. Safe so far have been Almay (I order it online or get it from my trips to the US drugstores), Physician's Formula (ditto) and Chanel. I can wear even very glittery Chanel e/s without any irritation. I absolutely love their eyeshadow quadras (Prelude is my favorite neutral) and eye pencils. I'm very pale and their shades are subtle and flattering, not paintbox obvious. Go to a Chanel counter, explain your problem, and ask them to do your eye makeup there.

With mascaras, I'm still looking. I'd love to find one that doesn't clump and smear and defines well (don't want false lash effect - just a neat, even colour) - and my pet hate is mascaras that start crumbling after a while (Max Factor, which I used for years, tended to do that). Have been meaning to try out Chanel Sublime (and check whether I'm allergic to Lancome - they are supposed to have disposable wands at their counters). So please let me know if you find one that fits the bill...

Mascara- No 7 sensitive- the only mascara I've ever found which doesn't irritate. (The normal No 7 did aggravate my eyes).

Eye shadow- Bare Escentuals- the best thing I've come across which doesn't make my eyes itch.

That is a good idea to try different ones at the counter before buying. I did not want to be wasting more money after Bobbi Brown.
I used to used to get Almay stuff haven't seen it for ages. Is it only available in USA now?
