Dublin river boots - sizing question and are they the best choice?

Have been told that someone wants to buy me a present for £100 and I want some country boots. Think this might be my best option.

Do they come up big or small? I am about 7.5 in most shoes (41) so should I ask for an 8 and wear bigger socks?

They are mainly for watching kids sports in mid winter, school run and walks in woods/parks with energetic kids. Hate my freezing and quite frankly chavvy looking wellies and figured it is time for a change!

Horse & Hound have discussions about this which might help.

One of my friends has similar boots, Toggi, & says they are fantastic for keeping warm & dry.

Thanks for that info. Have changed my mind about them now after reading so many shocking reviews. Just can't decide which boot to go for now. Those Dubarry ones are lovely but don't think I can justify such an extravagance Wink
