Help, my 12 year old, is currently 5'7" and still growing !! She has size 8-8.5 feet and getting school shoes is a complete nightmare (she also has wide feet). She has now outgrown her favourite Nike Hi Top trainers but still insists on squeezing into them as we can't find anything in her size to replace them. I have posted this on teenagers thread too, but hoping that someone can recommend where to get trendy shoes her size (most large wide fitting shoes are not very trendy and she will not wear something she has seen her grandma wearing - fair enough). Thanks all.

Aldo does quite a good range upto a size 9/42. I have size 8 wide feet and often get shoes and boots from them.

Try here www.tallgirls.co.uk/shoes-size-9-10-11-12-1.html
They do all styles including school shoes!

New Look do loads in a size 9/42, and they are cheap and fashionable too. Not always the best quality though.

LK Bennett go up to size 42 too, but are probably a bit too expensive!

There have Bern other threads before on this with good suggestions. Shall try & find them later. Fwiw I am a 43 & wear mens gola which are pretty much the same as womens. Next do size 9 in loads, so might be a good option for something a bit trendier.

Try also Big Shoe Boutique online. cheap and cheerful..

Many thanks everyone, I have some good suggestions here and from the other thread. I just wish I had thought of Mumsnet before, would have made shoe-buying less of a headache.

Evans do large sizes and also wide and extra wide fittings. They add new stuff all the time so tend to be pretty up-to-date with trends.

Asda also do lots of size 9 shoes, as do shoe zone - just trying to come up with cheap shops!
