it is a turtleneck without the jumper, just an apron back and front iyswim to put on under the wintercoat.

would be good for my dh, he hates scarfs but feels too cold. and would be great for the dc as well.

TracyK · 19/12/2011 11:45

compare.ebay.co.uk/like/110793167394?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar these are for kids only though

TruthSweet · 19/12/2011 11:53

Like this?

LoopyLoopsWoopDeWoops · 19/12/2011 11:57

Are you sure, if he hates scarfs, that he'd like one? Umm, trying to be tactful here, but really?

pooka · 19/12/2011 11:59

I can't bear scarves and I certainly couldn't bear wearing a turtle neck - feel like am being strangled in both.

onelily · 19/12/2011 12:08

Try debenhams, banana republic?

SantaAteAllTheBiscuits · 19/12/2011 12:11

I hate scarves too and a turtle neck would be worse. I hate the presure on my throat.

OneHandFlapping · 19/12/2011 12:20

Was Howard wearing it on Big Bang?

mousysantamouse · 19/12/2011 12:52

thanks for the links, that is just what I mean.

I suppose it depends why he doesn't like a scarf, I find they get in the way and aren't as warm as they should be. What about a neck gaiter or buff? Walking / outdoor shops will have them.

I think this one would be nice]]

Or there's this type They're not as restrictive as they look. Dp, kids and me all have similar.

marthastew · 19/12/2011 13:30

Like this but for grown ups?

mousysantamouse · 19/12/2011 13:41

yes, martha, just like that.
dh for some reason can't tie the scarf properly so he always has a gap at the neck and lots of leftover scarf that peeps out under his coat.

My kids have these - fantastic. I get them cheap from trespass stores. Highly recommend for kids - avoids the nearly strangling themselves when a "friend" grabs them in the playground.

strictlyxmas · 20/12/2011 08:34

thats such a good idea... never seen them before, my ds would love it....thanks op.

nobodysfool · 20/12/2011 22:23
