Have decided to order one of these. I think! Can anyone tell me how the sizing comes up?

I currently have a down coat but I really want something waterproof. Is the haddenbury going to be as warm as my down one?

Just bumping as I ordered one too (on Tuesday) and am desperate to find out how warm it is.

I wouldn't say that it's very warm like a down coat, but it's a step up from a normal waterproof.
I think it's an autumn coat for wet weather but will be fine with a fleece underneath.

I'm nesh thoughGrin

Sizing is slightly on the generous size but not so much that I would size down. If you're inbetween sizes, then size down but stick to standard size if not.

After reading all the reviews I presumed it would be a really warm, waterproof, winter coat. I haven't tried it on yet, but have it in the house and it does not feel anywhere near thick enough to be a winter jacket.

Oh no, I will have to return mine as I need a warm jacket!

I am 12/14 and ordered a 16 but sent it back as it was far too bulky on me, i'm waiting for the deliverey of a 14 any day now. I found it warm and cosy and good at keeping the draughts out -I didn't find it a lightweight or autumn coat, i would wear this coat in our derbyshire winter and out walking the dog. i might put a fleece under it on really cold days. :)

I got one today, ordered usual size and it's definitely big enough for layering underneath. Haven't worn it outside yet, but seems plenty warm enough for me (am northern and well 'ard, me)

Seems a bit bulky, but am used to run of the mill short waterproofs. Am hoping it will calm down with regards to bulkiness, once I've worn it and kind of squished it a bit!

I have it and I wear it for downpours and windy weather. I have recommended it on here a few times now. I'd say it's pretty accurate sizing. It is not as warm as the Landsend Stadium Squall, but it is slightly more attractive. I'd say get a fleece for really cold days to go underneath. And a hat and gloves. My only issue with it is the sleeve length. But then I must have orang utang arms, mustn't I Craghopper, Barbour, M&S...
