Are the clothes worth the price and do they come up big or small?

Yumi--small sizing and low quality.
Lipsy--sorry no idea

There is a Yumi outlet near me, and even then I think it is overpriced crap.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 18/12/2011 22:30

Lipsy looks like an explosion in a Barbie factory imho.

MudAndGlitter · 18/12/2011 22:31

I saw a nice dress then realised it was practically backless Confused

I give up. Jeans and plimsolls for Xmas day!

i once worked in a company that printed lipsy labels

Gapants · 18/12/2011 22:33

mud what is your budget and what are you looking for-- party dress, smart dressy, something you would wear again and again?
What size/shape are you?

I am wearing a cute little skater skirt dress with gold belt and necklace on the day. It is a jersey dress from New Look. I think they have lots of nice things at the moment.

MudAndGlitter · 18/12/2011 22:49

About £40
Size 6/8/10- depends on shop
No boobs
Chunky thighs

I'd like something I could wear with leggings but that's not going to be ruined by two toddlers in 5minutes!

Haha & rabbid

I've fit a dress from Yumi with cats wearing party hats on, got it from an outlet village for £6.88, apparently rrp £35. U w

TheGoldRoad · 18/12/2011 23:03

Stupid phone :-s

I wouldn't have paid that for it.

feedthegoatsletthemknowitsxmas · 18/12/2011 23:19

I've got quite a few Yumi dresses that I wear for everyday wear with leggings and biker boots. I find them to be fairly standard size wise. All mine have been from the local House of Fraser outlet for between £5 and £13 so fair value!

cakeoholic · 18/12/2011 23:44

How about this Quite yumi esqe, perfect with leggings and a cardi or a plain black long sleeved t underneath, not too expensive. Don't think it will be high quality but sure it will do the job

TheCompanyofWolefs · 18/12/2011 23:46

strewth, thought it was a baby names thread.

Gapants · 19/12/2011 09:04

I really like this, would wear with a chunky knit cardigan and tights/leggings in he day and then a mannish blazer for the evening-- art deco dress

this is cute

not yumi but looks just like it

MudAndGlitter · 19/12/2011 09:10

Yumi would probably be a better baby name than Lipsy.

Thanks for the link I quite like the dress. I have a phobia of dresses and heels but I'm trying to start dressing like a grown up!

IMO, Yumi & Lipsey are both pricey for the quality.

In the past few months I've bought quite a few dresses from Oasis in the £40-£50 price mark, the stuff doesn't seem as cheap & "teenaged" as it was a few years ago. I recommend! :)
