Help - non-black dress for a funeral

FILs funeral is on Friday, and MIL has just said that she's not wearing black and we don't need to either.
I'd bought a black dress but now feel that I need something non black to keep MIL company. I'm thinking something muted / dark colour.
Any suggestions please? I'm 30, size 14 and 5ft5, short dark hair, F cup breasts I'd prefer a dress because I wear dresses lots. Budget - would be great if it came in £50.

How about a splash of purple? Was also a 'mourning' colour in Victorian times.

A dark purple would be good but I can't find anything I've searched online and nothing. It's all bright coloured stuff, black or out of budget
