i like this coat but am not sure which size to go for. am a 12, and have a uniqlo tunic/dress which was a medium, it fits, but only just. shall i go for the L in the coat or will it swamp me? anyone bought a uniqlo coat recently?

If you click on the size guide it gives you the coat measurements in cm for the different sizes.

I've just ordered a jacket yesterday from Uniqlo having never bought from them before but went up a size.

I'm a 12 too but ordered a Large (large?!?) which says its a UK 14 but the measurements seemed a bit borderline TBH so went up. However I don't like snug fitting either so that was another reason I opted for the Large.

yes, that's the issue i'm having with the measurements, am borderline. think i will size up, don't mind snug but would like to be able to fit a jumper or cardi on underneath it.

I buy uniqlo all the time from the shop as have two branches close by. At size 12, I would go for medium for a coat. I am size 12 and always a medium and I like to wear my clothes loose as well. I find their sizing generous.

hmm, eek, now not sure! although, like i said in my op, the dress i have in a medium, i find their sizing on the small side.

I would get a medium. Their stuff comes up quite large especially their jeans.

Really? I find their stuff pretty skimpy. I'm a 12/14 and have to buy a large. Though partly it's because they seem to design for quite straight-up-and-down types, whereas I'm kinda curvy. A medium doesn't do up round my boobs. But a large can be too big on the waist.

cornflower123 · 18/12/2011 19:22

I'd get the medium.

I'm a 10-12, and recently got the 'stand collar' coat shop.uniqlo.com/uk/goods/070240. It's lovely, but fairly generous on me. But I like some room to wear jumpers under.

daenerysstormborn · 18/12/2011 20:28

think i'm going to go for the large. am more a 12/14 rather than a 10/12 due to 34dd boobage, i'd like to do the buttons up if possible Wink
