Help! I've turned into Magnum overnight!

I've always had a bit of a darker hairy upper lip, but bleaching it has always worked.

However, I've recently lost a lot of weight and did my usual Saturday night bleach (exciting social life anyone?!) and went to bed. Woke up this morning to a lovely bleached tache, but which is blatantly obvious that there is a shedload of hair there - kindof a blonde Magnum look - topped off by a few wispy chin hairs à la Billy Goats Gruff! Hmm

How the hell do I get rid of it? I'm skint so expensive electrolysis/beautician stuff is out. Do home facial wax strips work/hurt/leave a bright red mark that will last for days?

Someone help me - or I'll be forced onto the look-a-like circuit!

I only discovered home waxing strips recently. They're brilliant! Doesn't last as long as a professional wax, but I just don't have the time to go to a salon. Try the veet strips on an evening when you're not going out, just in case they leave a bit of a red mark.

Just a thought, though - if you've never had a professional upper lip wax, it may be worth doing this first just to see the right technique?

To be honest, I'd suck up the cash for a professional wax for the first time you wax it. Be warned, you'll never go back to just bleaching. For the chin hairs, if there really are only a few of them, shot of your favourite tipple and get to work with the tweezers. Have some chocolate on standby for your 'treat to yourself' for afterwards.

Another vote for a professional wax.

Cold wax strips or an facial epilator.

For me it has to be electrolosis. I know that cash is short at the moment but it will save you money in the long term because it is permanent. I do not consider hair removel a luxury like a facial or manicure-it is essential to my self confidence. Good Luck!
