Isabella Oliver on eBay - it washes well so is generally in good nick. Or buy some new on the basis you can eBay it afterwards.

Oh, and seraphina. Seraphina? Can't remember. Whatever, they have nice maternity jeans and some tops.

I actually found m&s ok for basics too.

BuntyCollocksHasBigBaubles · 18/12/2011 11:35

Red herring at debenhams. Isabella Oliver and seraphine if budget no object.

BrianButterfield · 18/12/2011 11:40

It's mostly hideous, polyester shite, TBH. 90% of what I ended up wearing was non-maternity - look for empire lines etc. If you want party wear or smart work stuff you're going to have to trawl eBay, mostly.

pootlebug · 18/12/2011 11:56

Seraphine if they have a sale after Christmas!

I'm wearing maternity jeans (seraphine and top shop) and leggings but mainly non-maternity stuff on the top half....empire line, stretchy things that are long etc.

Asos.com have some that looks quite nice too - I just ordered some but haven't seen it in the flesh yet to know how it is in person. There's a 30% off code if you scroll down S&B a bit.

Some of the gap stuff ok for more casual alternative- found that they are especially well sized for when you are in later whale like stages

heliumballoon · 18/12/2011 12:48

Isabella Oliver in a flash sale (sometimes they do 40% off!)

Gigondas · 18/12/2011 12:49

Isabella Oliver cost per wear has been best value. The only thing I would think twice about is their wrap tops as they are a faff to put on and ride up in day (although do look nice).

woopsidaisy · 18/12/2011 13:26

Boden do maternity wear now too. I have ordered some stuff in the sale, and it appears fine. Can't go wrong with t-shirts for £9! And the double layer dressis cute too.

Alargeglassofred · 18/12/2011 15:17

Gap for jeans. Seraphine. H&m rubbish sizes! M&s did have some nice stuff. Isabella Oliver is best tho for style. Was about to eBay my 5 Isabella Oliver tops and bump bands if you're interested???

second the idea of ensuring trouser are good quality maternity wear - ebay great for 2ndhand Isabella Oliver trousers - took a few weeks but I managed to get some really smart and comfortable work trousers for less then £10 - look like new :) I also just brought some maternity dresses from the Boden and asos sales and have been really pleased with them (@woopsidaisy - love the double layer dress too - I got the blue one) . In my 1st pregancy I mainly worn none maternity tops - 2 sizes bigger and good cut, worked really well. I am much bigger this time, so have brought a few maternity tops to see me through. Hope all goes really well with your pregancy
