Has Anyone Received Their Boden Sale Stuff Yet?

And if you have, what did you order, and are you keeping it?

I had my eye on a few dresses, but discovered I was pregnant the day of the sale, so shuffled over to the maternity bit.
And they have hardly any of the maternity stuff on sale...very miffed!
Got some of the t-shirts and a dress though, as going on hold in April,so will have big bump by then!
It has arrived and will be keeping it all, including the boys jumpers, vey nice!

What about you?

Yeah, I was well miffed that none of the current maternity range was in the sale. I ordered the maternity denim skirt a few days before the sale with a 25% disc code and free delivery/returns. It's v nice and will be great when bump is a bit bigger.

newpup · 17/12/2011 17:47

I ordered a dress each for the DDs and pjs for DD2. I ordered on Monday and it arrived on Thurs! Most prompt ever and I was worried as all 3 items went out of stock the same day I ordered. Last time that happened I did not get them at all. All items are lovely and will be kept. Smile

LydiaWickham · 17/12/2011 17:54

Yes, got mine! Keeping a pair of straight leg jeans in indigo (although a little bright, they make my arse look fantastic, so regardless of the colour, such miracle producing item of clothing must be kept and worn repeatidly), a black cardie and a hoodie for DS. Sent back another pair of jeans as they were too small (although did get both sizes to be certain).

Trying to ignore the rest of the sale for now...

Oh, and congratulations on your BFP!

pootlebug · 17/12/2011 17:56

I just ordered stuff for the kids. There were things I really liked but am 29 weeks pregnant and don't want to find the non-maternity stuff is a rubbish fit on me in a few months time. Not arrived yet though.

Northernlurker · 17/12/2011 18:04

I ordered on Sunday and paid £6 instead of £4 for quicker delivery. It arrived on Tuesday. Grin

I got the drapey jersey top - very good.
Two wrap tops - also good but I knew they would be ok as I already have one
Tie knot double layer dress (for Christmas Day) - LOVE this
Retro knit tunic - amazing bargain

Oh yes and some stuff for the kids too Grin

bellavita · 17/12/2011 18:12

Yes!

I got a lovely knitted tunic and a cardi. Both fit perfect.

iWILLdothis · 17/12/2011 18:13

I got my order... 2 hoodies, both keepers although I had intended to send one back Blush, autumn Breton top, also keeping, but sending back joyful jersey dress as it just doesn't fit me right, and sending back fab plimsolls as can't justify them. Congrats on the bfp.

Northernlurker · 17/12/2011 18:14

Bellavita - did you get the retro tunic? I think it's fab.

bellavita · 17/12/2011 18:17

NL - yes I did! Grin I got the grey one - agree it was a bargain Grin

woopsidaisy · 17/12/2011 18:43

Thanks Ladies! Thought I was finished, but what the hell, one more for the road! Grin
So mostly keeping as opposed to returning....And the Retro Knit Tunic is lovely!

Sent everything back.
All dresses.
Frumpy fit and poor quality material and not good value at even at sale prices.

Northernlurker · 17/12/2011 18:46

I got the pink one - so pretty.

snailsontour · 17/12/2011 21:20

Grrr still awaiting delivery - frustratingly it's been sitting in the depot since Tuesday. Wish I'd paid the extra for speedy delivery, and am getting worried about the time it's taking as usually everything comes so quickly!

I'm glad everyone loves the retro tunic as I went for all three colours if they ever come:(

mejon · 17/12/2011 21:44

Ordered pinnafore dress for DD2 on Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday. Only paid normal postage too. Fastest delivery I've ever had Grin. Definitely keeping it as I'd been eyeing it up all season. Nothing else took my fancy - at least not price-wise. Hoping there may be some more reductions soon.

gothicsanta · 17/12/2011 22:54

I went for retro tunic too it is fab also trousers and tshirts for dss all kept

GeorginaWorsley · 18/12/2011 10:09

bought jersey dress, purple cardigan with ruffly bits around neckline, couple of tops plus a couple of things for DD3.
All arrived swifly and are fine.

slapdashsusie · 18/12/2011 10:21

I had a speedy delivery, too- I ordered on Monday and my boxes arrived Saturday lunchtime! In Sydney! I love everything but the hobo-shaped bag that wasn't even on spesh- the colour wasnt glittery silver but dull gunmetal grey. I am holding my breath about the postage back to England- I once posted a t=shirt back and it cost $20! But the handbag came to about $150 so it had to be love at first sight.
Does anyone know when the summer stuff will start to arrive? I am hanging out for all the lovely linen tunics I ordered, although it is so cold here again this week that I might just as well stop holding my breath!

slapdashsusie · 18/12/2011 10:25

And can I just ask, what is with all the "poor quality" moaning that people do on MN about Boden? Every item I have received from them is beautifully tailored, with little touches of piping, etc in the lining that I absolutely wouldn't get at double the price in Australia. To me the clothes are ridiculously cheap for the level of finish, and certainly the brights are not commonly seen here, which is strange because the light here suits the brighter colours and prints.

AlpinePony · 18/12/2011 10:29

I too think the quality (at least on the children's stuff) is great compared to here. 50 euros for a pair of baby jeans from mexx anyone?

Got my delivery thurs (ordered sun, am in Europe) - going home from hospital outfit for new baby and teddy fleece for toddler, both keepers.

slapdashsusie · 21/12/2011 04:33

Oh, crumbs, I just got back from the post office- how much do you think it was going to cost to send back a handbag and a sleeveless dress from Sydney?
$57 AUD!!! and I took all the stuffing and packing out to mke the package as small and light as possible!
The bloody handbag (shiny pewter) cost me about $150 (ie GBP105), so bugger it, I'm keeping it.

On a brighter note, someone must have returned a velvet party jacket and pink silk dress to go under it- I snaffled them up yesterday in anticipation of credit from my grrr handbag.

Pseudonymity · 21/12/2011 09:03

slapdash Sell it on ebay? Must be the way to go.

KWL51 · 21/12/2011 12:04

slapdash shame it costs so much to send to the uk as i would have brought it from you as sold out now and want gunmetal grey and not sparkly silver!

hattymattie · 21/12/2011 14:59

Wow and to think I grumble about the 6.50 it costs me from France. Sent back easygoing tunic by the way - fitted like a sack on me and much too long - dress length. I am not that short!!! On model it comes just below her bum and looks skimpy and fitted! Oh well that'll teach me.

lisad123 · 21/12/2011 15:03

I got 3 pairs of trousers for each dds, a few t shirts and a dress for dd1.
Most of their sizes were out of stock Sad
Of anyone has anything in age 4-5 and 8/9 they want to send back, let me know please Grin

polyhymnia · 21/12/2011 15:04
