Highlights in dark brown hair

Booked in for a colour on Saturday and am tempted to go for highlights rather than all over colour.

What colour of highlights look good on dark brunette hair? I don't want anything too mad - thought maybe caramel or just a few shades lighter than my normal colour but don't want to do something I'll regret!!!

I'm very fair skinned by the way.

I'd ask your colourist, but a few shades lighter and some caramel shades would be nice.. dont be tempted to do blonde they just look fake and tacky. Check out the second pic on this link here

Thanks peas - I do like that photo. Will definitely not be going for blond - want a change but something quite natural
