Make up - mascara and nude lipstick required

Can anyone please help?

I feel like I need an update for my long term faves. I tend to wear a bit of make up every day.

Mascara
I like lengthening and volumising types and have been using Max Factor Masterpiece Max. I was fine for a few weeks but the oomph seems to have gone out of it. I have tried to replace but my scatter gun approach is not going well. I have tried the following

Bourjois Coup De Theatre 2 in 1 Mascara
Maybelline Great Lash Blackest Black Mascara
Bourjois Coup De Theatre Mascara
CHANEL INIMITABLE INTENSE Volume Length Curl Separation (flaky and rubbish imho)

Nude lipstick
I use Body Shop lip liner in shade 03 Clover Pink. I need something a bit darker. I am not keen on the wet texture of lipstick.

There must be better products out there. Can anyone help?

Dior Iconic Mascara - Amazing
CLinique Creamy Nude Lipstick - fab nude that doesnt make you look like a corpse.

If you want a very matt lippy Id suggest Bobbi Brown Lip Colour, they do dozens of nude shades, well worth a try

Bunty I like that the mac comes in a matte finish. The reviews for the mascara look good too. I will check them out thanks.

If anyone else has favourite that you can't live without I would love to hear about it.

Poppy King for No7 lipstick in Confidence is my ideal shade of nude. Sheer but definite colour, not wet, and the colour stays for ages.

Elemental 'Sheer but definite colour, not wet, and the colour stays for ages'. is just what I need. The colour chart online isn't very good so I need to try out in store.

Gillybobs Bobbi Brown Lip Colour looks like my fave ever 3in1 from Body shop that was discontinued. Score . There seem to be a few different Dior Iconic Mascaras. Which one is 'Amazing' and why?

Diorshow mascara I love this, I try others and always go back to the same mascara

Lipstick Mac Hue is a really nice shade not too pink not too nude.

I use Lancome Virtuose mascara and MAc Midi Mauve lipstick (that was a recommendation from someone on Mn, thanks whoever you are!).

Maybelline The Falsies- the purple tube- just tried and am impressed. Doesn't clump.

Nude lippie- try the Bobbi Brown counter but I have just bought RIMMEL Kate Moss no. 3- which is a nude and it's lovely- and cheap.

I love No 7 lash adapt at the moment - I have stopped using Masterpiece for it, it's great stuff.

Nude li stick - found a great one in the Gosh range in Super drug - very very impressed with the colour, it even has a small mirror on the side of the tube which is handy. It's about 7 quid iirc.

Another shout for Lancome Hypnose here.

Best nude lipstick I have found is Laura Mercier 'Baby Lips'.

BeneFIT have a new fabulous mascara, it's called "They're Real!" - if you apply one coat, conservatively, it gives you lovely long lashes that look great, two coats (immediately after the first and don't let them dry in between) you get massive gorgeous lashes that look too good to be real. I love it. And it wears incredibly. No smudging at all, even if you rub your eyes.

I was very tempted by that Benefit mascara but have been SO dissapointed with their stuff in the past.

Watching this thread with interest. I had my colours done this year and I am a "deep" previously known as a Winter. I have pale skin, dark brown hair, dark eyes and I am looking for a suitable nude lipstick that doesn't make me look like the corpse bride! Need "cool" tones.

Re: Mascara - I find the Body Shop mascara very good and reasonably priced.

I like no7 curly lash and I like the new lipstains by maybelline. I also don't like a sticky lipstick feel.

Another vote for the new benefit one. Love it. It has tiny little bristles on the end so you can reach all the lashes. Much better than their badgal rubbish.

Loads of good ideas . I'll write them all down and pay a trip to Birmingham to check them all out. I already know I will not be able to stick to one of each.

Hey valiumredhead, I note that you have moved on from Masterpiece so I'll use my Boots points for No 7 lash adapt.

Is the no 7 curly lash like the Clinique curling mascara which is totally smudge proof and needs to be removed with warm water - can anybody tell me?

I'm still looking for the perfect nude lippy. Until I find it I'm using Vaseline with cocia butter.

Estee Lauder do a nice nudish imo lipstick.can't remember the name tho..

Estee Lauder Pink berry I think it's called.
