I have no other details! Help! What kind of necklace does one buy an 11 year old?

I'd have thought some sort of silver pendant and chain type thing.
But then again she might prefer something more like wooden beads - do you have any idea what sort of style clothes she likes?

belgo · 14/12/2011 12:47

Agree, silver pendant and chain, Argos springs to mindSmile

TeacupTempest · 14/12/2011 12:48

Well that is partly problem really (or is it to our advantage?). She is really very laid back. In the past we have bought her dresses, skirts etc and she has always liked and worn all of them. I don't think she have any firm ideas about her own style quite yet, if you see what I mean.

Oh, that's an advantage!
Don't get anything too childish - a pretty pendant could be worn for years.

TeacupTempest · 14/12/2011 12:59

Pendant idea is winning! I think your right, sometime that will still appeal in years to come would be good.

what about this silver necklace here called Together Forever?
depends on budget though, otherwise what about a chain with a charm?

JennyPiccolo · 14/12/2011 21:27

Avon had some quite cute styles recently. Pendants with strawberries and other kind of kitsch things on.

My dd(12) wanted one of those name necklaces like Carrie from satc wears - I got it one ebay - it was new!

cakeoholic · 15/12/2011 10:16

Not sure of your budget but something from swarovski or from the simply silver debenhams collection here

TeacupTempest · 15/12/2011 11:53

Thanks people. Need to get on and make a decision today. Christmas is looming!

Might be a bit too young - but these are gorgeous imo - and not too kid-y. www.lilybelle.co.uk/girls-jewellery/?dpage=1. I do also know the designers, and they are lovely!
