I was wondering if you lovely ladies could recommend me some of your fav 'products'.

My best friend is a product junkie and I thought adding to her collection would make a fab xmas prezzie. But I'm stuck.....

What do you suggest? Budget is £50ish and would be great if I could get her a few bits with that.

Thank you kindly.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, still a favourite

8-Hour Cream for my dry lips (especially if you can get one of the special tins they do sometimes)

Benefit Dandelion powder, or one of the others they do depending on her colouring (Dandelion is great for relatively pale skin)

St Ives apricot face scrub, cheap, smells good and does the job - might not be posh enough if your friend is seriously into her potions though!

Shellac nail stuff and UV drying thingy, if you can get that to do at home? - just had mine done the other week as part of a special offer (I don't usually bother with nails, partly because I always chip them immediately) and am amazed that they have lasted a whole week already without a single chip or scratch!

Oh yes for beauty flash balm and 8 hour cream.
Eve Lom cleanser?
Nails? Opi? Nails Inc etc

LemonDifficult · 13/12/2011 23:18

Shu Umera Cleansing Oil is FANTASTIC and seems to last ages
I like the 8hr cream moisturiser
The Boots-own-brand really cheap hand and nail cream is very good too - rock solid nails

humblehippo · 13/12/2011 23:28

Inigo, what is the 8 hour dry lip cream you mentioned, also Clarins?

valiumredhead · 13/12/2011 23:35

Bare Minerals products.

NotADudeExactly · 13/12/2011 23:36

Gel eyeliner!

CrystalTits · 13/12/2011 23:39

You could get her a Bare Escentuals starter kit (just under £50)

It's just the standard (Elizabeth Arden I think?) 8-Hour Cream, it's not specifically for lips but is the best I've found for them. You can get a lipbalm version too but I just use the basic stuff on a finger (used to have a lipbalm but lost it...)

needienewbie · 13/12/2011 23:51

Thank you all so much for your suggestions...off to google them all.

I had considered that eye lash lengthening stuff but its £42 and really didn't look much to give as a prezzie.

Anything by Chanel. Eucerin Aquaphor salve for dry lips at night, Badger Balms for daytime (my daughters love them as well as the packaging is cute). Essie nail enamels.

You need Sali Hughes on Christmas gifts. Some excellent pressies in there!

(I sent a link to the video to my husband who said it's 17 min too long to be considered a hint ... Wink)

Jessicaalbastwin · 14/12/2011 07:55

Elemis pro collagen marine cream is My fave at the moment, I also love decleor Hydra floral, keeps My skin moisturised.

wideawakenurse · 14/12/2011 08:40

To be honest, most of my favourite beauty products that I use all the time are of the boring sort.

However, there are some lovely, lovely gift sets in Space NK this year:

Kiehls This body lotion is the best ever.

Aromatherapy Associates these are amazing.

Ren otto rose is a best seller - smells fab

Laura Mercier

GinLizzy · 14/12/2011 08:43

another fan of 8 hr cream moisturiser here- it's fab!

kerstina · 14/12/2011 09:28

My favourite product is bourgosis illuminating touche but its not expensive.

coffeeinbed · 14/12/2011 09:57

Givenchy Prism Blush.
And a huge second for the Sali Hughes video, take a look at that!

JJ · 14/12/2011 16:56

I wouldn't mind getting Lipstick Queen Medieval either. I love Saint Wine for everyday and have the Sinner in that, too - although it's not really the same colour. The Medieval looks like a cross between a chapstick and the Saint - I love tinted lip glosses but not the texture, so this might do the trick.

In case anyone is thinking about getting me something Xmas Hmm Xmas Grin

iloveeverton · 14/12/2011 17:09

How about a 6 month subscription to www.glossybox.co.uk and they will send her 5 Sample size products each month. I've had the last three and it's great for getting a wide selection of beauty products.

Or go pick few bits from www.latestinbeauty.com
