Emergency!!! Non-slip toasty winter boots - ideally less than £50!

And preferably non-hideous, but lower priority!! Penguin-waddled the school run today with freezing toes, dropped off kids. Nipping back home desperate for hot toddy coffee, promptly fell flat on my arse, luckily without baby-in-a-sling attached [shocked]. I need The Ultimate School Run Boot, but less than £50. Is it possible?
