help me out here please , teen boys clothes ???

where can i buy clothes for a 13 year old boy that dont cost the earth. He is more of a 'mosher' apparently . likes rock music , plays the drums.
any ideas ???

I'd go to a market and get him something one off and cool. Somewhere like Camden or Spitalfields if you are near London.

And how nice to be buying for a teen boy who isn't a slave to Superdry and Abercrombie.

Agree with the suggestion to try Camden Market, or if closer to Manchester, Afflecks, for vintage rock t shirts. If he's a bit skater-y, try King stuff ( weary, experienced voice of mother to sixteen year old bass player ).

There is nothing 'one of and cool' in Camden market anymore, all the stalls are the same :(

TK Maxx has some cool inexpensive stuff.

Thriftychic, you're onto a winner then, I've been to Afflecks pretty recently and it's still jam-packed full of a mixture of indy, grungey, gothy, unusual and weird items. I also found the stall/ shop owners to be very helpful in suggesting acceptable, and , errr, ' cool' ( sorry ) clothing - I bought some nasty shouty band t shirts for my eldest.

It is very disappointing - I used to love Camden when I was 16. Now it's a tourist trap :(

acsec - I haven't been to Camden for years. That's a shame. It used to be a real treasure trove. But there are definitely one off and cool things to be had at Spitalfields, and in the shops along Brick Lane.

I might have to go to Spitalfields when I want a day of mooching round a good market then, thanks racingheart! :)

I found some pretty good quality cool clothes for boys in TKMaxx a few weeks ago including American brand skinny jeans, T shirts and Bench fleeces at bargainous prices

As a teenager DS used to be dressed completely by TKMaxx.
