I'm looking for some classy costume jewellery. I'm late thirties, not trendy but like to look stylish (failing miserably!)

Can anyone suggest some websites? Thanks

Treasure box?

I like Oliver Bonas - especially the semi precious bead necklaces and the gaudier larger, statement pieces.

I have a few pieces from mctavishjewellery, I've also bought a few presents for friends which are always well received.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'd quite like some pretty glass beads - a colleague has a gorgeous necklace with glass beads and a glass heart at the end.

Where might stock something like this? I've looked at John Lewis, Debenhams, House of Fraser etc but have found nothing so far.

do you mean glass see through type beads?

suebfg · 11/12/2011 19:53

Yes, perhaps a couple of different colours in the necklace so you can co-ordinate with different clothes

hhhhmm you might be better off making your own, can only think of a necklace with beads and pearls in it i've seen

emsyj · 11/12/2011 20:41

Do you mean a Lola Rose one? They sell them in John Lewis near me - but you can buy them from their own web shop too - www.lolarose.co.uk/jewellery?cat=6

suebfg · 11/12/2011 20:42

No, I've looked at Lola Rose but theirs are solid beads and one colour usually I think. I do like them - it's just not quite what I'm looking for.
