Cream dress+ black tights- yay/nay?

Have a creamy coloured crochet short mini dress (usually wear over jeans) that I had thought might look ok with black opaques and patent shoes....however the dh has just said 'bit summery'. I now have doubts...

I would say as long as shoes are black like tights...and maybe wear some black dangly earrings to tie it all together?

Lace type dresses are everywhere so it should look okay

Black opaques definitely fine; but I prefer grey woolly tights with cream crochet dress.

Although would wear brown shoes with grey tights.

Thx for that tethers- I have neither brown shoes nor grey tights...

Think i may scrap the dress altogether
