Pandora charms!

Wanting to get my sister one for Christmas for her pandora bracelet. However, I have a budget of £15 and they usually cost so much more!

Does anyone know whether other types of charms fit on the bracelet? Or where I can get cheaper ones? I feel a bit uneasy using eBay for jewellery in case they're dodgy sellers. Confused

I got loads on ebay. Just check if you want silver ones - they will state if they are hallmarked. You can get a bagfull for the price of the moneygrabbingfancy designer ones and usually quick delivery. Some are from China, but not all.

and the sellers were really helpful and nice in my experience. I have some nice silver ones and also some non-silver just for costume jewellery. I also got the silver snake chain bracelets to put them on for £4.99.

Thanks for your reply Tunnelmaniac. I'll have another look at eBay. Smile

Do you know whether I can use non-pandora charms on the pandora bracelet? I don't think my sister would really mind as long as they are real silver.

It's probably too late for this Christmas but I've bought some for my sister from here and they are lovely and much prettier IMO than some of the official ones, especially the lampwork beads, which my sis says people always comment on! She's had no probs getting them on her bracelet although Delivery took a couple of weeks as its from the USA

Otherwise you could try searching etsy for uk sellers - there are quite a few lamp work beads like this or this

They do have charms for £15 in pandora but they are called spacers. They are slightly narrower than the usual charms but just as pretty. I just bought an 18 year old one as her birthday present as I wanted to spend around £15. They sell them in the pandora shops and wrap them up beautifully.

You can buy Pandora Beads cheap here

My sister is wanting a Pandora bracelet for her 18th and I got her 2 beads from this website. They are authentic because the have the 'Pandora' on the edge of the bead as well as the gold or silver hallmark and the 'ALE' mark (which is the initials of the father of the founder). I did my research to make sure it was legit first and I'm happy with them.

In my opinion there is no way that site is genuine. Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole!!!!!

Owlelf · 11/12/2011 22:10

I've seen rather a lot of posts on various threads on Mumsnet recently singing the praises of various websites or eBay sellers offering pandora charms at bargain prices.

Might be worth being cautious ladies. Sorry to be a grinch but if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!

Flibbertyjibbet · 11/12/2011 22:25

You only have to look at the shocking use of incorrect english on the blog part of that site to know that its absolutely not legit!

MollyintheMoon · 11/12/2011 22:59

Thanks for the replies. I like those ones you've recommended jcee.
I had thought about spacers as well and it's good to know they're nicely wrapped.

There do seem to be a lot of dodgy sites around with the Pandora thing, and lots selling on eBay. I'd be happier looking at 'used' eBay ones than 'genuine' suppliers iykwim.

The Above link is FAKE PANDORA not one of those beads are AUTHENTIC PANDORA they are nothing like the real deal :) do not touch them with a bargepole and waste your money. Ebay can be the real authentic pandora BUT you have to be very carefull on there too. For Cheap authentic Pandora look at mememe or beadaazzle. You can get now get quite a few silver beads from £20 you can purchase online or in a Pandora concept store or an Argento store.

Jessicaalbastwin · 12/12/2011 07:42

Agree with you pumpkin those charms are way toooo cheap for pandora. Be cautious.

newyorklover · 12/12/2011 09:10

Are pandoras made in china or is it an Italian make?

KWL51 · 12/12/2011 14:14

pandora is danish i think, scandinavian at any rate.
a spacer is a good idea as perosnally i prefer to have the genuine item on my bracelet, i have pandora and troll beads bracelets and keep them seperate, before buying a non pandora item for your sister i would check she is fine with that.
www.beadazzled.co.uk is a genuine supplier (listed on the pandora site) and they have openwork charms that are realy pretty for £20.

HorsesDogsNails · 12/12/2011 16:58

That website is not genuine. Firstly it's all way too cheap, secondly most of those charms/beads are not even copies of genuine Pandora..... They are totally random, made up and tbh look cheap and nasty.

IMO silver Pandora beads are not expensive, gold is another matter! If you want Pandora, buy Pandora. John Greed is another authorised retailer......

KWL51 · 12/12/2011 19:15

Yes the gold is mega bucks makes me thankful I'm allergic to gold! I can't even get the beads with a tiny amount of gold on them.

I've brought from John greed as well it arrived packages beautifully in John greed packaging but with the pandora packaging as well )some collectors will only buy with pandora packaging) and sweets!

Gertiegoolash · 12/12/2011 19:17

Yep that website is fake, avoid!!!

lovebite · 12/12/2011 21:11

caffeine I think you may have got ripped off, cuz that isn't a genuine pandora website. There is no way a 14k gold pandora charm is going to be £6.99. I don't think any website selling 14k gold charms is going to be £6.99, let alone pandora stuff.
