Please help me find some tan boots

I think I'd like ankle or mid calf length. No idea of what's in the shops & deperately need suggestions to go with this dress

Would they be OK in the rain do you think? I'm in the very wet north & have ruined loads of boots in the rain.

I've got quite stumpy legs too - do you think they'd be 'chunky' enough. I don't want to look like my mum!

I think so- as much as any leather boots would be. I'd scotchguard them first, though.
