Is it worth getting clothes resized? Or should I just buy new?

I finally gave up on losing my baby-weight and bought loads of size 12 clothes. Then - bam! - food poisoning. I have puked my way to a size 8. It has stayed off for 6 months so I am optimistic. Trouble is all my clothes now look huge and stupid. Is it worth getting stuff like work skirts and jackets resized? How much does this sort of thing cost, and does the end result look good? (My work clothes are v. boring and fashion free so I will wear them for years ? but they are not expensive ? Hobbs 70% off sale mostly).

I could leave this as my emergency fatter wardrobe but I think that would encourage me not to keep the weight off.

I think a good tailor could easily do skirts and trousers but jackets will be more tricksy.

Its also not going to be cheap - could be worth getting a quote but wouldn't be surprised if its not far off buying new in the sales.

If its good quality EBAY it and buy new stuff with the cash you make :)

After a fairly torrid 6 months I am 2 dress sizes smaller with no sign of weight going back on. I ebayed decent quality stuff and bought new. Good incentive to keep it off

I would wait until the sales and buy new. Maybe you could ebay the old stuff?

Buy new. The jackets will be difficult to do and expensive. I've had trousers taken in at the waist and it just not as nice as properly fitting trousers. I also recommend ebay for selling clothes in good condition. I often get as much as I paid for them new although I'm selling them on as used.

Hm thank you. Ebay is a good idea. Am sad though as they are lovely clothes. Maybe I will just get fat again!
