Please tell me where I can find decent leggings!

I'm hoping someone can help me! I have never worn leggings before, as I've been a bit too body conscious and stuck to jeans for years. However I really want to try out the leggings/tunic/boot look, but want some really decent leggings not the type that you see people wear that are almost see through when stretched! Any ideas or suggestions welcome! Thank you!

Miss self ridge do some quite good ones they vary in price depending on the thickness of them. Mine were £14 and pass the bend over, stretch, no pants visible test!

Great, thanks I will check them out (and use your test to make sure they pass!)

Primark bodyshaper leggings are often recommended on here and they're really good. They're a bit more like really thick tights, so they don't thin out with washing, they're in with the control undies.

Ooh primark is even better! Thanks I'll check those out too!

I got some lovely thick ones in River Island for £20 wash well too:)

definitely the best ever leggings I have bought were the £4 body shaper primark ones. Had some for 2 years, not a sniff of baggy knees, worn through bottom etc

Boden. Sorry, but they're really good. Good length, don't ride up, don't show flesh through them, and wash like new everytime.

Agree, Boden best leggings around, bought a pair after mumsnet recommendations. Wash well

Second Boden recommendation. They are pricey, but I've just bought my third pair in 3 months. Perfect fit, no baggy, saggy bits. Great.

Fabulous, thanks ladies for all your recommendations. I think I'll get the primark pair and a more expensive pair to compare comfort and quality! Now I just need to find some tunic tops I like to wear with them, which may prove more difficult!
