I've been looking for a pair of wedge heel boots in black. I'm fed up with stilletoe and wanted something new. I've looked in my usual places but not having much luck. Has anyone seen any?

The third pair is the nearest but I am after just a plain black leather with no trimmings.

They are a bit biker-ish and I already have biker ones
I want something to wear with a shortish skirt, thick tights and either my Belstaff jacket or my quilted Barbour.

Too high?

upahill · 07/12/2011 20:28

A little too high. I want them as every day boots.
They are really nice though.

Thanks for this thread upahill. DW has also been looking for such a pair but find that although wedges look great on sandals or ankle boots, they can look frumpy on higher boots. Why is this, I wonder?

Anyway, I need to sort out her birthday present, and there are some great suggestions here. Something like the the Scuh Princess or Haumesser are the kind of thing. A shame they're not a little cheaper! Find £100 a bit hard to stretch to.

I got my Fly London Mol boots from eBay for £70. Thy were brand new, there's a shop on there, think it's called Scorpion shoes. I have the Fly Mes ones too although they are shorter and more bikerish.

I bought some black wedge boots from Next for £60:
