cardi/shrug/cover-up for LBD?

I am going to a party and wearing this dress but am wondering about something to wear with it as I seem to remember the function room being a bit cold last year (DH's works "do", which is in the same place again)

Any recommendations? Otherwise I'll just have to brave it. I don't plan on doing the same as last year and warming myself up with gallons of booze

I would just take a voluminous black pashmina to wrap around your arms. The top of the dress is too pretty to cover up...
