Help me find the perfect shoes...

Ladies I need help finding the right shoes
I have a black sequins dress, above the knee but don't know what shoes to wear. The lady in the shop recommended black tights and black patent shoes.

What do you think?
Can anyone suggest some for me?

I am a new convert to nude tights with black dresses, I always used to wear barely black but nude look much better. I paid around 12 Euro for a good pair and you have to watch out that they are ok with your skin tone and are not too dark. I am not sure about wearing patent with glitz I would maybe try satin instead. Just take the dress to the shoe shop and see what works. IHTH

I think good quality black opaque tights would also look good, They will tone down the sequins. Also not sure I would go for patent shoes. What about a very fine suede pair in black? I think if the dress is sequins, the rest of the outfit should be very understated.

I'd also go for suede rather than patent with a sequinned dress, otherwise it could all look a bit too ... shiny. I think black opaques and black suede shoes would be good, but if you're going for any other colour tights I would avoid black shoes. Nude tights and nude shoes? Or nude tights and a bright shoe (again in suede). Or black tights and leopard shoes ...
