ADVICE FOR EYESHADOW NOVICE

After many many years, I have decided I'd quite like to wear eyeshadow and have found some colours I like. But when I put it on my eyelids it seems to wipe off on my brow bone above. This I notice doesn't seem to happen to anybody else. What is the secret to making it stick just on my eyelids.

Eyeshadow primer is the key. Urban Decay primer potion is fab!

Thank you - I looked at the tutorials but some of them put too much on - I just want a basic day to day natural look. So if I put on primer it sticks the eyeshadow to my eyelids? Will investigate Urban Decay.

yes, the primer helps to absorbs oil and adheres to the eyeshadow. do you wear foundation and/or powder? you can also apply those to eyelids to give a smooth base. Alternatively a good cream to powder eyeshadow would work for everyday (and also as a base for other colours). Bobbi brown, MAC do good long lasting ones.
