Please help me to accessorise my party dress

I've bought this dress for my grandmother's 90th birthday party next week. I need shoes, and a bag, not too worried about jewellery unless someone can find me something very lovely (obviously I'm going to wear jewellery, I just have loads of pretty bits so I'm sure something will go with it).

Thanks for any help Smile

What a really nice dress. Hopefully someone with a better clue about these things will help out after this gets bumped up the list, but what is your budget/shoe size/preferred heel height etc?

Thank you! Bit of a bargain, £225 full price and I finally got it for £50!

I would spend up to £70 on shoes (although obviously less if possible) and I'd like something with a heel but not too skyscraper - I'm tall enough to start with. Ideally closed toe so I can wear very very sheer tights - not convinced I really want the natural colour and condition of my legs to be on show in December. Size 7.

Was wondering actually whether if I choose some statement jewellery with black in it, whether I could then swing black shoes????

As for bag, it's literally got to take a teeny purse and carkeys, I don't have to cart around stuff for the DC, they're all old enough not to need changing / feeding / entertainment things in my bag. So any sort of little clutch, although I would prefer not to spend a fortune on it because I won't use it much in the future.

See the sets below the dress in the link for (some odd, some not so odd) ideas that other people had about how to accessorise the dress...

I don't know if my taste can be relied upon, but I don't see anything wrong with black accessories.

Black suede kitten heel, but with an interesting low side. £35 from Asos

Subtle (?) sparkle clutch, oasis £25

Must be people on here with better ideas than me, let's be having you Xmas Grin

Thanks for these. Clutch is very pretty indeed. I've ordered one from M&S but might give it to DD for playing ('twas only £6 so not as generous as this sounds Grin) and get the Oasis one instead.
