Decent cheap nail polish and eye cream!

Didn't want to start two threads so have put both my questions in the same one.

Can anyone recomment a decent, cheap nail polish please? Christmas night out so sat for ages last night making my nails perfect and by 11 am they were chipped already! It's a number 17 polish so not an expesive one but even so. I don't want to spend a lot because I'm not allowed to wear it for work so the absolute maximum I would be able to wear it would be two days so any suggestions?

Question 2!!! Is eye cream really necessary or does anyone just use their moisturiser like me? I feel as if I should use one but not sure if it's a waste of money?

Thanks in advance!

Love Models Own nail polish, you can buy it in Boots for £5 a pot.

Revlon nail polishes are pretty good.

With regards to eye cream, I think it depends on how rich your moisturiser is. The skin around your eyes is much thinner than the rest of your face and the molecules in eye cream are smaller than those in most facial moisturisers which means that they can clog the skin around the eyes, sometimes causing milia (little hard white bumps) or make your eyes more puffy. If you're using something very lightweight then this may not be a problem. A lot of eye creams also contain particular ingredients which combat certain problems in the eye area, like caffeine to reduce puffiness and dark circles for example. Or products to firm the skin. If you don't have any of these problems then you may not need an eye cream just yet, although they can also help delay these problems.

Look at the current issue of Glamour (Kristen Stewart on the cover) as it comes with a free Nails Inc nail varnish. A mag and nail polish for two quid!

Barry M nail varnish is about £4 if I remember correctly and lasts for ages.

I also like Revlon nail polish. Using a top coat will really help it last.

As for eye cream, I never bothered until I got my make up done on the Bobbi Brown counter, but now I'm a convert. I think you do notice the difference, especially if you are putting concealer on your dark circles (maybe you don't have any!). I searched some old threads here for tips and bought the Eucerin one, which I love. My eyes feel like they've had a lovely drink of water, not greasy at all like they would with (my) moisturiser.

Barry M is ok. Mavala is the best though IMO.

Rimmel do one which has lycra in and is called something with the word pro in. It is the only nail polish i have used that hasnt chipped for a few days. Costs about £4.50
