Diorshow Blackout - how do you get it off?????!

Bought this a couple of weeks ago, distinctly underwhelmed but will be using it up due to its eyewatering price.

I can't get it off. Last night resorted to a combination of eye makeup remover (Clinique, has always got everything off before!), olive oil and cleanser :( Please tell me there is an easier way!

I have diorshow waterproof black mascara and I get it off with a tiny bit of babyoil gel. Gently rub it on and wipe off with cleansing wipes. Like you I have always used clinique take the day off but when I had ran out once I stumbled across this and find it works well and it's cheap!

Brilliant, thank you! I was looking for the baby oil but it's vanished from the bathroom (wouldn't like to dwell on why!). Baby oil gel sounds like it'd do the job with less greasy eyelids after so will stick it on my shopping list Xmas Smile

I found mine comes off quite easily with my Dermalogica eye make up remover on a damp cotton pad. Although I don't use waterproof mascara as it's really bad for your lashes to use long term due to the difficulty of removing it. You end up shedding a lot more lashes!

You might find the performance of your mascara improves once you've had it a week or so and it's thickened up. Quite often I will buy a mascara and think "I'm sure my last one was better" and then after a few uses find the one I'm using is much better than when I first opened it.

Garnier 2 in 1 make up remover gets it off really easily.
Best eye make up remover I've tried.

i LOVE diorshow--every single different version. I need to start a diorshow appreciation thread.

Use a warm muslin cloth and any cream cleanser you have - will get anything off.

Thanks all :)

Honestly, I am struggling even with a hot flannel and it's not even the waterproof version! I like the blackness of it but that's all I do like. I don't get all the fuss about Hypnose either but like BeneFit Bad Gal which I know loads of people hate, so maybe I've just got funny eyelashes.

I wish they'd stop "improving" mascara, I was loyal to Chanel til they messed with it a few years ago, then found a Clinique one I loved which is now "improved" i.e. totally different and I don't like it. This is the hardest to remove I have ever encountered though!

Does anyone remember the Dior mascara in a gold tube that came in purple? I LOVED that. They discontinued it :(

My bf got me this, and he went a step further and got the waterproof. :( horrible stuff, I can't get it off. I feel guilty as he was so around of himself and it's so expensive...

AlpinePony · 04/12/2011 09:15

Around = proud

Aw, it's the thought that counts. Vaseline maybe? I haven't worn any mascara all weekend as I can't be bothered taking it off!
