best stay put lip colour

Looking for the holy grail- a lipstick that does not budge. Answers on a postcard please. Any help kindly appreciated?TIA

I really don't like the "stay put" lipsticks as I find them too drying. However, Chanel's Coco Rouge lipsticks have real staying power. I apply, blot and reapply and my deep red shade stays on for several hours - including through dinner & drinks.

I mentioned this on another thread, MAC's ProLongwear lipsticks are brilliant. The don't dry to that horrible finish that a lot of them do, and you don't need to keep putting a top coat of balm or gloss on them. They are like normal twist up lipsticks and have a fairly moist feel but stay put for hours. They are not completely transfer resistant though, they will show up if you kiss someone or on the side of your glass.

Maybelline's one is great and non drying.

I love Coco Rouges, have them in at least seven different shades, they last well without being overly drying. The fairly demure mid-tone pinks look amazing on my pale skin. My favorites are Legende, Orchid and Gardenia. Perle works nicely with stronger eye make-up.

So, against my better judgement i tried the maybelline 24 hour color stain yesterday-- it was true to it's word, it lasted well over 24 hours.

otherwise i prime, draw my line, balm, wait till it dries, add color (matte is best) wait til it's on, the thinnest layer possible then I add another coat of lipstick.
