Which perfume??

I am desperately in need of new perfume so am dropping hints in time for xmas!!

The ones that I love are Beautiful,samsara and Allure.

I love very strong oriental or spicy scents.

I am swithering between-

Youth dew-have always loved it but its seems associated with grannies now?-although I remember my mum wearing it when she was in her 20's!

Cinnabar-another estee lauder one-strong but am unsure of its staying power?

Mitsouko-I usually love Guerlain but again am unsure if this will last-is it too much like my usual Samsara?

Help as dh planning to go xmas shopping at the weekend and he cannot be trusted!

you'd probably love Lutens Musc Kublai Khan or Fumerie Turque or indeed a geat number of the Montae oud based perfumes, or possibly one of the Andy Tauer ones (air du desert marocain?)

Cinnabar is lovely - do you like Ysatis? Bit old-fashioned but I like it and it fits your brief.

Allure Sensuelle is gorgeous, nicer than the original Allure IMO - worth a try.

Do you like Coco? The original, not Mademoiselle. Also try Angel (Thierry Mugler) and Vivienne Westwood's Boudoir.

Based on what you like, I would say either Boudoir or Allure Sensuelle is what you want. I have a bottle of Youth Dew but always feel it's a bit too old for me so I rarely wear it. The bath oil of it is lovely though, and fills the house with the light top notes of the fragrance - well worth a buy. You hardly need any in each bath and the house smells fab for ages.

I love Allure Sensuelle too.

Other spicy or oriental favorites include;

Serge Lutens Feminite du Bois or Five O Clock Au Gingembre, Estee Lauder Sensuous, Prada Infuse d'Iris, J&E Atkinson's I Coloniali Body Care water with Japanese Yuzu, Vivienne Westwood Anglomania.

Also Prada Amber, Bulgari Jasmin Noir, Pure Poison, Amarige....
