OP, this looks similar to that first dress to me. It's ok, but nothing special.

I'd wear it with thick tights and boots for every day wear. It isnt setting the world alight for me, though.

Actually I suspect the gathering may not be in quite the right place to dramatically disguise my mummy tummy so I would def try it on irl first.

It's too smart for me (45yo).

I would wear it with glossy tights, obscenely high black patent heels, to a work meeting, or client lunch. I think it would look smart.
