Hello all - husband here. Looking to buy some nice lingerie as one of the Xmas present for my wife. The only brand I know is Agent Provocateur but having looked at website it seems pretty expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations for nice brand that is not as expensive? Or is lingerie always dear?

Thanks

Damaris.co.uk is lovely (but not cheap)
Have a look on figleaves.com they have a wide selection of brands.

Damaris, Mimi Holliday and Elle MacPherson are all beautiful and more useful than anything I've seen in AP.

Figleaves has a men's buying guide, maybe that will help you! Buying women's underwear if you're a man

And yes it's always expensive if want the nice stuff! Or it is for me a least because I'm a weird size. If your wife is a standard size and you want to go cheaper you could try La Senza.

La senza is maybe a bit too cheap IYKWIM I like lejaby and elle macpherson (washes well - lasts forever).

Depending on where you are I'd highly recommend Boudiche, independent lingerie shop where they bring you tea in the changing rooms and really know they're stuff.

gracie is right, I wouldn't be that happy with La Senza as a Xmas present - was just thinking of your budget! They have some pretty enough stuff but it's not special iykwim

Thanks for tips so far. Damaris looks good - and right sort of price range.

TBH unless your other half has suggested you buy this, I'd advise you not to. men usually buy red, black, crotchless etc etc- when all women want is something nice and practical with a tiny bit of pretty laceSmile

There is also the size issue- even if you sneek a look at the bra sizes at home or whatever, then they all fit differently.

If you HAVE to buy lingerie then maybe a nice silk nightdress or something like that- but not undies, no.

Some lovely silk lingerie here.

If that is out of your price range. Playful Promises normally have a good range at reasonable prices.
