Dressing gown

Or housecoat as some people call them!

I'm trying to find an old style towel dressing gown, not one of these fleecy ones that appear to be in all the shops.

Anyone seen them about recently?

Thanks! I found a white one earlier in the M&S outlet but I thought white might not be the best colour. Due at the end if April and I figured it's gonna get a bit dirty!

I can't believe how hard it seems to get one, I thought they were all this material. I'll just need to keep search! Sad

Came across some on the Lands End site today and remembered this thread These are in the men's section, but at least they are darker - the women's section only has white or pale pink in the same style.

I struggled to get one for DH last Christmas, but eventually found www.kingofcotton.co.uk who sell proper cotton towelling dressing gowns. A lot of the M&S ones that look like towelling are actually sweaty polyester and you can't tumble dry them (which is an essential for me).

White is a good colour because you can sling it on a hot wash when it gets filthy. I buy white everything - towels, bedlinen and dressing gown. I did once get a big gush of lochia on it (TMI sorry) but it came out spotless with biological powder and a hot wash.
