Dress

Boots

With tights and some nice jewellery? Or will I look 12?

Like the dress. I think long boots look more flattering but then Im short and dumpy and you may not be !

JenniferR · 30/11/2011 16:14

Dress and boots def work. I'd suggest a long chunky silver coloured necklace or even a silver tones scarf. Idea:

DP have 30% off at mo too!

Get high denier tights with the boots though.

You won't look 12! Hope you're going somewhere nice.

You won't look 12 Grin

Not hugely keen on the boots but outfit in general quite 60's ish so will be fashionable, link here

needienewbie · 30/11/2011 16:42

Ooooh, I like that necklace JenniferR.

Any other shoe suggestions would be great if the boots aren't great. Just need a small heel...

MrsHankey, I'm worried now you've mentioned being fashionable...I'm generally not! ha

OP posts:
Marenostrum · 30/11/2011 17:59

high boots and smaller heel would be better, or a wedge.

Alibobster · 30/11/2011 21:11

Nay to both, sorry

MrsHankey · 01/12/2011 12:08

There's something 'mum-boot' ish about the boots you first linked to & the tops of them look too wide to wear with dress & tights, IMO.

Think definitely need to stick with black (or grey) for footwear.

For shoeboots something like this? or from M&S?

Or knee- length?

Or ankle with higher heel (more fashiony?)

Like these but the brown detail probably not go with black/grey dress.
