Help! I am after a small handbag for my teenage niece and no luck so far!

She would like a small-ish black or grey handbag. It needs to be a shoulder bag but the handle should not be too long.

Ideally, I would prefer to get her a leather one, but a nice non-leather one would be fine too. My budget will stretch to £80.

I am after something similar to this but I think she would like it to be slighly funkier.

The dimensions of the bag on the link are just about right to:

Length: 26.5cm
Height: 18cm
Width: 7.5cm

Looking forward to your suggestions/recommendations!!

just over budget but I would be very hapy with it!

Blimey! You are a bit quick for me, JoyceD. Let me review your selection and I shall feed back!

Have you tried Fossil? Trendy, very good quality, not horrendous (but not cheap) prices.

Thanks for the suggestions, JoyceD.

No.1 - The Radley one is probably a bit too big (30cm).

No.2's colour (tan) would not please my niece, I fear. To me, it seems more appropriate to somebody who is older too.

I think no. 3 is lovely. It is brown though: it is a beautiful chocolate colour but my niece may not be so keen on it. I may run it past her anyway. The only thing is that the dimensions of this one are not listed on the website, and it might be bigger than it looks...

How old is she? How does she dress? What music does she like? Personally I don't like any of those and know my 2 teenage daughters wouldn't like them either, but maybe we're a bit odd... They just seem a bit old to me.

I quite like the little 'Stella' Radley one. Niece lives abroad though and won't be familiar with the Radley brand so I feel that I might be paying extra for the brand name when it will fall flat. It is nice though...

She is 15.5. She dresses nicely (nice jeans, tight jumpers(!), skirts/dresses occasionnally) but probably more conservatively than an average 15-16 yo would in the UK.

Not sure about what music she is into.

Does that help a bit?

The two Kipling ones look a bit cheap IMO but I will have a look at the website.

I will check out the Fossil ones too.

I do like the ameko ones from Asos but would prefer it if the bags were not across body and the handle was not too long. I did not like the Diesel ones much.

Thanks to all for your efforts!

I am off to bed now. Feel free to recommend further options if anything comes to mind. Thanks again!
