hair straighteners

does anyone use hair straighteners everyday and has it done any damage to your hair?

I use mine every day just about and my hair is very dry and has split at the front its not very noticeable, I can cover it up quite well but all the same they can't be that good for the hair.

Use serum and that spray to soften the effect but just seems to make my hair lank.
