have just been looking at Urban Decay NAKED palette.
Any other good options for everyday, high pigment palettes that u might be using??

benefits "big beautiful eyes" - the brown shades are fab - use them everyday. I apply more for an evening make-up.Bought mine on ebay at half the rrp.Stays put all day and comes with a concealer in the palette

I don't know what your colouring is but don't assume browns and beiges suit everyone. On some people they can really wash you out. MAC do custom palettes so you can get a palette of 4 colours to suit your everyday needs according to what suits you rather than what comes in the palette.

I also really love some of the Dior 5 Colour Palettes. Especially the lifting ones. Lifting Amber and Lifting Ivory are both really nice. They come with a primer and also a cream liner/brow definer which is really good.

just been to the mac counter and can see what u mean re: washed out! now i'm even more confused. maybe should go again another day without DS and create my own palette with their advice.
I am fairly dark skinned although redish tone with dark brown hair and green/grey/blue eyes.

don't you think though that BB palettes have too many shades that are almost the same- and won'tl ook any different once they are on- I mean who can really tell the difference between 4 shades of beige that are almost the same?

I liked Dior 5 shades but there is always one that I never use and they are very £££ now.

I'm using a Clinique 3 shades in earth/nude tones which is quite nice, but the darkest shade is only useful as a liner.

Sleek (superdrug) do highky pigmented palettes for pennies that are excellent. They have a neutral everyday one too

Secondtimelucky · 29/11/2011 22:35

Ooh yes, I like the Sleek ones too. Super cheap so you don't mind so much if you don't use all the shades. Stay put really well- full day with a toddler and drizzle yesterday.

Havingkittens, I'm one of those people who don't wear beige well, and all shades of brown make me look tired. I'm a pale summer (light hair, light-gray/green eyes) and my best eyeshadow colors are not beige but very subtle pastels - light silvers, golds, pinks and very light lavender.

I'm a newly converted Chanel fan. I use Chanel palettes Lilium and Sparkling Satins. It's truly magic how well their eye shadow stays on - a full 8-12 hours on me, without primer!!! I love the light shimmer of Chanel eye shadow quads - it looks sophisticated too. The quadras are expensive, but last nearly a lifetime (and they are cheaper at airport duty frees). And my eyes are super sensitive but they don't irritate.

I found the Urban Decay Nakeds a bit too sparkly for me Am loving the sound of the Chanel palettes - sounds like a strong contender for the Xmas wish list.

kerfuzzled · 30/11/2011 16:02

I also recommend the sleek pallettes and there eyebrow kit is fab too - best I've ever used

I should stop reading these threads. I have already bought some doublewear foundation and started the Oil cleansing method on the strength of these threads Grin

Bourjois have a new five shade palette you could try. 3 for 2 at Superdrug I think at the moment.
