Im a busty 16 and I look beyond ludicrous in anything like that. Sadly : ( Im afraid only willowy models look great in anything that bulky ime.

I think you have to be careful with padded, quilted things. There are more slim-fitting padded gilets around which give you a bit of shape (I have this one from Hennes, in black).

I look like a cuddly teddy in my ( fake snow leopard ) fur jacket.

Ah, I think you are all confirming what I suspected, I can either be realistic and not order it or buy it and shrug off looking a bit of a silly (wide) bugger in it

Doesn't help I have huuuge boobs too which with the best scaffolding type bra in the world do eventually start to sag so... ah well, that's 60 quid saved!

I am a busty 14 and I look fucking awful in gilets although it has never occurred to me that I look like the marshmallow man but that is exactly it :o
