Can I dye my FitFlops? Should I?

I needed a pair of comfortable shoes in which I can walk for long urban distances, and that had thick enough soles to keep my toes from freezing in winter - ie not my lovely Converses.

Local department store had half price FitFlops which seemed to fit the bill so I got some. But the reason why they were half price is that they're a rather appealing shade of light yellowy brown almost exactly the same colour as a 6 week old bf baby's poo.

They're a sort of suedette material (leather) with white soles. Shall I dye them? If so, what colour? Black? Dark green? Dark brown? Dark Red? Navy blue would be my first choice but I don't think it will work.

And apologies to those who are offended the the very mention of FitFlops in S&B, I just thought you lot would be most likely to have the answer.

I love my Fitflops - comfiest shoes ever and I haven't had back pain since I started wearing them. And I'm very stylish

But no, you can't dye them.I wouldn't even try it. Just wear em and call the colour butterscotch so you feel better :)

Try cleaning them with a dark shade of shoe polish?

I know the colour you are talking about as I have a pair the same and want to dye them but am unsure. The colour is really hideous though.
Gastrointestinal Upset Beige.

You can get special leather and suede dyes. Try asking in the dry cleaners, they often do extras like that...

Can't see why not, but be careful with the white sole. i'd keep to a similar colour, like brown.
