Bingo wings & chunky thighs - need evening dress!!!

After having had twins and a single baby in two years, my body is not looking it's best (and it's best wasn't even that great!). Dh and I have been invited to what looks like a pretty swish evening do just before Christmas, and I need something to wear!

I'm about average height - 5'7, size 18 (if I'm honest), figure has always been relatively hour glass, but now I have a more wobbly tummy. I've got chunky arms & thighs.

So - an impossible task! Got about £100 ish, although less would be better. Don't mind having bare arms, must be long. I hate it when 'larger ladies' are covered in acres of glittery material!

There was a great Grecian looking dress on an earlier thread, from peacocks, but it seems to go up to a 16, so not sure, but planning to go & see if they have it near me & try on.

What would suit my shape - any ideas? Im mid 30s, want to look kind of classic but up to date, not mumsy - most of the people at the do will be younger, cooler & richer than we are.

Please help, it's the first night out I'll have had in ages!

This is nice, and flattering on bingo wings/thighs....but maybe not long/dressy enough? On trend with the lace etc

Great colour but not sure about the velvet.

Sorry sorry sorry, ended up getting caught up with something else and didnt get a chance to come back!

Thanks so much for the ideas, the phase eight one is lovely, and I think Ill go and see if they have it at the weekend near me. Always find it tricky looking online, because I forget even a brilliant dress is not going to make me look like the size 6 model its shown on Smile

thanks again for your help!
