can I wear a shirt dress with a polo neck?

how would this dress look with a dark grey polo neck underneath? Like the look of it but will be bitterly cold without something and I have a thin knit merino polo that would do.....

I think that would look fab! Cable knit black tights would be good too.

Thick tights and some good knee high boots and away you go!
