cool backpack for a 13yo boy?

This is what my godson wants for Xmas

I looked online and was a) clueless as to what was cool and b) shocked at the prices, £80 or so for some of the brands. Am happy to pay around £40 but no more! Any suggestions from mothers of teenagers very welcome.

Dakine - cool but pricey. Sometimes available in the sales - or last season's designs may be reduced, but are still equally cool (round here anyway).

Go to T K Maxx - they always have loads of backpacks at bargain prices.

Not sure about brands - my 15 yr old nephew seems to have a lot of Nike stuff.

Around here its Nike all the way which I hate ds1 year 8 one could not give a hoot really. Due to us wanting him to blend in and not be a target for bullying I bit the bullet and brought what all the other sheep had :) dS1 has aspergers so an easy target anyway. He is happy he has just what the other kids have.

you need to ask him what brand is cool, as its varies from schools and areas. My son is in yr 4 and i've noticed the girls carry handbags and the boys those retro across the body man bags, my son still has a quicksilver rucksack i got in the next sale, thankfully hes not bothered by brands yet.

Thanks everyone, apparently on investigation the cool brands in these parts is American Apparel and Hollister so I'll check them out.
