Pearl Lowe dress - does it go with my shoes or is it all too much?

I've been umming and aahing about this dress (for my works night out) (I bought the oriental one too in case anyone is wondering about that - its v. popular and has sold out now, but though lovely, is made for a lady of greater height than I, even in skyscraper heels, and I'm 5'5. Also the sizes run big and the 14 sags on me)
I love the shape and cut, but the neck is very high I like a low one and I'm not sure about the band of colour. Anyway, I've been desperate to wear my shoes but I think it might be overkill. Would I wear them with opaque black tights? Or would it have to be black shoes??

I want to say it will go because I love the dress and the shoes but I fear it might just all be a bit too much. The shoes are a real talking point and the statement part of any outfit - you don't want such a good dress to clash ....

I like to often mix and match but sometimes simple is best and to keep the whole outfit to one statement piece - so either the dress or the shoes

I have decided to get rid of the dress. I love it, but although it flatters my figure, it somehow doesnt suit me. I think its the gold. It makes me look sallow. So, off to ebay it goes....

Dear god those shoes are divine, I love love love them and whilst the dress is fab I'd want to wear the shoes with something plain to show them off!

I agree that it would be over kill wearing both.Love the shoes (i have a collection of Irregular Choice cortesan shoes). Actually why am i selling my purple pair on ebay?

Does anyone else have a problem trying to open the Peacocks link?

Every time I try (and this happened with another thread last week about the same dresses ) my screen just freezes and I can't do anything.

Can anyone link to these dresses on a site other than Peacocks please as I'm intrigued to see what they're like!?

I just sold the panel dress on ebay for 60 quid ( I paid 35). My oriental maxi dress is on there too, but no ones biting just yet....!

I like the Oriental maxi dress but not so sure about the lace panel one . I think its one I'd have to see and feel the quality of the fabric to decide.
