I'm going to a civic reception next week for work. It will be smart but not evening dress smart. I need a frock and am not having much success in looking for one.

I don't want black if possible
I quite want long sleeves because it's going to be farkin freezing-- but not a deal breaker
Am size 10/12 5 ft 5 and 40

I bought this in the sale for fifteen quid - wore it to work once and had so many compliments I have "promoted" it to a going out dress. I wear it with a slinky black long-sleeve scoop-neck or polo-neck top (it's quite low in the front), opaques and boots or flat shoes.

Oh, I've got the Hobbs Bewley dress - the roses one - I got 25% off at HoF - last week. What a sod shame if it's over. It looks lovely with the little fur tippet over it in the look book.

Slightly cheaper navy one similar to planet - I wore today and is very lovely on even if I do say so myself
